Directions for Birmingham Office

From Birmingham Airport

  • The exit from the airport is Messer/Airport Boulevard.
  • Continue on Messer/Airport Boulevard and turn right onto the I-59 South/I-20 West on-ramp.

22nd Street Option

  • Continue West on I-59/20 and exit from Left Lane at Exit 125 (onto 22nd Street North).
  • Turn left onto 22nd Street North (one-way street going South) to Highland Avenue.
  • Turn left onto Highland Avenue (Shell station will be on the left, Western Supermarket on the right), bearing right around the sharp curve in front of Highland Towers.  The entrance to the Crescent is immediately on your right, with a clearly marked sign.
  •  Continue up the hill to the Crescent building.  The parking deck is in the rear of the building.
  • Sirote & Permutt’s mediation center is located on the first floor.  Sirote & Permutt’s main reception area is on the fifth floor.  All visitors (except mediation)  should come to the main reception area on the fifth floor.

All-Expressway Option

  • Continue West on I-59/20 and exit Right at Exit 126-A (Highway 31 South/ Highway 280 East), being careful to remain in left lane of exit ramp which becomes 31 South/280 East (Red Mountain Expressway).
  • Continue on the expressway past St. Vincent’s Hospital on the left and the Crescent (our office building).
  • Take the 21st Avenue South exit on the right.  Turn left and go back under the expressway. Take an immediate left again on to the on ramp to get back onto the expressway going North (Highway 31 / Red Mountain Expressway).
  • Take the next exit - Highland/Arlington Avenue.  Our office building, the Crescent, sits literally at the fork in the exit.  Bear right, and then turn immediately left into the parking deck.  (Reduce speed as you exit, since the turn is immediate.)
  • Sirote & Permutt’s mediation center is located on the first floor.  Sirote & Permutt’s main reception area is on the fifth floor.  All visitors (except mediation) should come to the main reception area on the fifth floor.

From Atlanta

  • Take I-20 West to Birmingham.
  •  Turn left onto I-59 South to Birmingham.

From Mobile / Montgomery

Via 1-65 Using i-459 Beltway

  • Take I-65 North to the I-459 North, Exit 250 (to Atlanta).
  • Take I-459 North to the Highway 280 (Mt. Brook) exit 19 and turn left onto Highway 280.
  • Stay on Highway 280 until it turns into Highway 31 (4.5 miles). Stay to the right.
  • Take the Highland/Arlington Avenue exit (the very next exit).  The Crescent sits literally at the fork in the exit.  Bear right, and then immediately left into the parking deck. (Reduce speed as you exit, since the turn is immediate.)

Via I-65, University Blvd. Exit

  • Take I-65 North to Birmingham.  Take the University Blvd. exit and bear to the right.  Stay in the middle lane until the right lane ends, then stay in the right lane.  Turn right on 20th Street.  Turn left on Highland Avenue just past Ruby Tuesday’s and in front of the Barber’s Milk clock.  Stay in the left lane and follow Highland Avenue around to the left (it will turn just in front of the police station).  About two blocks up, the road will turn sharply to the right.  Turn right almost immediately into The Crescent Building parking lot.  Park behind the building at the top of the hill.

From Huntsville

  • Take I-65 South to I-59 North/(I-20 East).  Exit is from the far left lane.
  • Immediately after entering I-59 North/I-20 East, you must merge two lanes to the right (sometimes through heavy traffic) to prepare to exit onto Highway 280.
  • Exit right onto the Highway 280 East/Highway 31 (Red Mountain Expressway) exit.  This will occur just after you pass the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center and Sheraton Hotel.
  • Continue on the expressway past St. Vincent’s Hospital and the Crescent (our office building).

From Tuscaloosa

  • Take I-59 north to Birmingham
  • Exit on 22nd Street Exit (Downtown near the Civic Center).  This is a one way street.
  •  Follow 22nd Street to “Highland Avenue” (approximately two miles up 22nd).
  • Turn left onto Highland Avenue.   The road will have a sharp right curve immediately after turning.  Go around curve slowly due to an immediate right turn onto drive marked “The Crescent Building”.

Directions to Embassy Suites from Sirote & Permutt

Turn left out of the parking garage onto 23rd street. Follow curve right one block.  Turn right onto Arlington and go one block.  Turn right onto Highland Avenue.  Go one block and turn right onto U.S. 31 South/280 West Expressway.  Go to first exit at 21st Avenue South.  Exit at ramp.  Go straight at stop sign at bottom of ramp one block to Embassy Suites.
