Health Care Administrative Law

Our general administrative and regulatory practice represents a variety of health care clients in a wide range of proceedings before various state and federal agencies.  Our attorneys have represented numerous clients before a number of departments of both the federal and Alabama state governments, as well as before a wide range of independent state and federal agencies, authorities, boards and commissions.

Changes in statutes and regulations occur daily.  Decisions by regulatory bodies change ways of doing business overnight.  Operational decisions must be made despite sometimes conflicting, and often rapidly shifting, regulatory guidance.  To assist clients in this environment, Sirote & Permutt provides a variety of services including planning, advocacy and litigation.  We monitor federal and state regulatory trends and the activities of regulatory agencies, draft regulations and prepare comments on proposed regulatory actions impacting our clients.  We have experience in government contracts and procurement, and also assist clients in making their products and services known to appropriate government users of those products and services.  We have significant experience representing clients before the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Alabama Public Service Commission, the State Health Planning and Development Agency, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, the Alabama Department of Insurance, the Alabama Department of Revenue, the State Department of Public Health, the Alabama State Ethics Commission, and others.
