Members of the firm have represented Madison County since 1977. Our services include employment issues, municipal incorporation and organization, Voting Rights Act compliance, municipal litigation, including defense of civil rights suits, ordinance and regulatory development, and municipal water and wastewater work. Our attorneys also have assisted counties and municipalities in designing and creating authorities through which bonds are issued for the development of industrial and commercial projects. We are listed in The Bond Buyer’s Municipal Marketplace, a listing of nationally recognized bond counsel, and our bond attorneys are members of the National Association of Bond Lawyers. Our attorneys have served as bond counsel, special tax counsel and underwriter’s or issuer’s counsel on many tax supported and revenue bond issues.
As an adjunct to our Real Estate practice, we have substantial eminent domain proceedings experience. Clients include real estate developers, pension funds, builders, governmental agencies, public utilities and investors. This practice takes us into both state and federal courts and before local governments and state and federal agencies on a national basis.
