Sirote Attorney Vinik Speaks at YMCA Leadership Seminar

Sandra L. Vinik, an employment attorney at Sirote & Permutt, P.C., was a featured speaker on employment law at “Leadership YMCA,” an annual leadership program hosted by the Birmingham YMCA. Vinik provided supervisory training on the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Workers’ Compensation law and workplace harassment.

Up to 12 YMCA employees are selected each year to participate in the monthly seminar series that focuses on upward mobilization within the workplace.

Leadership YMCA is dedicated to informing, inspiring and empowering current and future leaders of the Birmingham YMCA. Monthly topics include improving leadership skills, creating a business network, fiscal management and developing problem-solving skills. The current leadership class will graduate in April 2009.
