Sirote Labor & Employment Group to Host Second Seminar

BIRMINGHAM, ALA — Due to overwhelming response, Sirote is hosting a second seminar March 11 on new and expected legislation by President Obama and Democratic Congress. Kyle Smith, who chairs Sirote & Permutt’s Labor & Employment Group, and fellow Sirote attorney Sandra Vinik will provide information and analysis of the proposed legislation and its impact on businesses. Topics covered include the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, COBRA, Healthy Families Act, Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, Employee Free Choice Act, the Forewarn Act and amendments to the Civil Rights Act and Equal Pay Act.
