Sirote Labor & Employment Group to Host Seminar on Expected Legislation to be Passed by New Administration

BIRMINGHAM, ALA—New and expected legislation on labor and employment matters as a result of the incoming Obama administration and Democratic Congress will be the topic of a February 25th seminar, hosted by the law firm of Sirote & Permutt. Kyle Smith, who chairs the Labor & Employment Practice, and fellow Sirote attorney Sandra Vinik will provide in-depth information and analysis on specifics of the proposed legislation and the impact it will have on businesses. Topics to be covered include The Employment Non-Discrimination Act, Healthy Families Act, Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, Employee Free Choice Act, the Forewarn Act and amendments to the Civil Rights Act and Equal Pay Act.
