Sirote Partner Levitt to Speak at Three Major Tax Conferences This Spring

Ronald A. Levitt, a shareholder in the firm of Sirote & Permutt, P.C., will be a featured speaker at three national tax conferences over the next several weeks.
First, Levitt will speak April 25th at the UNC Tax Conference in Chapel Hill on the use of Limited Liability Companies as S Corporations. On May 9, in Washington D.C., he will moderate a panel on Financial Distressed Corporations in front of the S Corporation Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA) Tax Section. Finally, Levitt will address the use of Limited Liability Companies as S Corporations with a focus on Maximizing Capital Gains at the 4th Annual Great Lakes Federal Tax Institute. The event will be held May 16 in Cleveland, Ohio.
At Sirote, Levitt’s practice focuses on assisting clients with closely held businesses in dealing with complicated corporate and tax issues. He is a nationally recognized expert on these topics, speaking at numerous conferences and seminars annually.
In addition to his role as a frequent lecturer, Levitt is also involved in the Birmingham community, serving in leadership positions with such organizations as the Birmingham Jewish Federation, the Levite Jewish Community Center, the National Council of Christians and Jews, the Helen Keller Foundation and Mitchell’s Place.
Levitt earned his JD from the University of Alabama School of Law, a Bachelor’s of Science degree and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Alabama, and a LLM in Taxation from the University of Florida.
