Sirote's Dan Burnick To Present Employment Law Seminar

Sirote attorney Daniel J. Burnick will be a featured presenter at an upcoming “Fundamentals of Employment Law” seminar. Burnick will speak about employee privacy in the workplace and will discuss performance evaluation, e-mail monitoring and misconduct investigations.
The seminar will be held April 16 at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel. The HR Certification Institute has approved the course for general recertification hours.
Burnick is former chair of Sirote’s Labor and Employment Department and currently focuses his practice on Labor & Employment Law, Commercial & Business Litigation, Insurance Defense, Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation and Criminal Defense. He has participated in numerous trials involving the enforceability of FMLA and ADA and is a frequent lecturer on labor and employment-related topics.
Burnick is the editor of the Alabama Employment Law Report, a blog discussing current issues in employment and labor law, with a particular emphasis on the State of Alabama. Burnick's blog is the first such online resource being offered in Alabama.
Burnick is a member of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and sits on the Boards of Temple Beth-El, Collat Jewish Family Services and the Levite Jewish Community Center. He received his BA from the College of William and Mary and his JD from Cumberland School of Law.
