Sirote's Brad Sklar Named Co-Chair of American Institute on Federal Taxation

Sirote & Permutt attorney Bradley J. Sklar has been elected to serve as co-chair of the American Institute on Federal Taxation (AIFT). He and fellow co-chair Janet Moore of JamisonMoneyFarmer will be filling the position that Robert C. Walthall of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings has occupied since 1996. Sklar and Moore officially assumed their new positions at the 37th Annual American Institute on Federal Taxation, held June 19-21 in Birmingham, Ala.
In addition to his co-chair position, Sklar also sits on the Board of Trustees for AIFT and is a long-time supporter of the organization and its mission to advance the knowledge of federal taxation through programs of study for tax professionals.

About Bradley J. Sklar
Sklar serves on the law firm’s Board of Directors and is a past co-chair of the Corporate & Tax Practice Group. Sklar’s practice focuses on business and tax planning issues at federal, state and local levels. He counsels clients in tax and business planning, succession planning and entity formation. He was the principal draftsperson of Alabama’s Limited Liability Company Act and frequently advises clients on sophisticated real estate structuring transactions. Sklar, a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated attorney and a 2013 Birmingham Legal Leader, is also listed in Chambers USA for Corporate/Commercial Law. About Janet Moore
Moore is a shareholder and co-manager of the JamisonMoneyFarmer Tax Department and serves on the accounting firm’s Executive Committee. With more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, Moore assists closely held businesses and owners with income tax planning and reporting, as well as other complex issues surrounding mergers, acquisitions and tax planning for family owned businesses. She serves on the Board of Trustees for AIFT and is also a member of the Business Council of Alabama’s Tax & Fiscal Policy Committee. Moore also advocates for child abuse prevention while sitting as a board member for the Child Abuse Prevention Services.
