Sirote & Permutt's Tom Woodall to Present at Appellate Practice Seminar
Thomas A. Woodall, a shareholder at the law firm of Sirote & Permutt, P.C., will be a featured presenter for a CLE Alabama Appellate Practice seminar. Woodall, along with a number of his former Alabama Supreme Court colleagues, will offer insight into the highly specialized area of Appellate Practice. The seminar is co-sponsored by the Appellate Practice Section of the Alabama State Bar and the American Bar Association.
The seminar will take place on March 8 at the Regions Harbert Building in Birmingham and is offering 5.8 continuing legal education credit hours to eligible participants. To learn more about registration, click here.
Woodall is Chair of the law firm’s Appellate Practice Group. In 2000, Woodall was elected to the Supreme Court of Alabama, serving a 6-year term and winning re-election in 2006. In February 1996, Governor Fob James appointed Justice Woodall as a Circuit Court Judge in Jefferson County. He was elected to that position in 1998, after running unopposed. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia, School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Millsaps College.
Justice Woodall is a Fellow of both the Alabama Law Foundation and the Birmingham Bar Foundation and is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, Eta Sigma and the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has also served on several committees of the Birmingham Bar Association, including its Executive Committee.
