Sirote Welcomes Three New Attorneys to the Birmingham Office
Sirote & Permutt, PC is pleased to announce that three new attorneys have joined the law firm. Janna L. Ifshin will practice in Sirote’s Bankruptcy Department and Brodie T. James and Jacob A. Kiser will practice in the Ejectment Department. All will be based in the firm’s Birmingham office.

About Janna L. Ifshin
Ifshin brings over 10 years of bankruptcy law practice experience to the firm. Her practice at Sirote focuses on the representation of numerous national, regional and local mortgage lenders and servicers as well as other types of secured creditors in consumer bankruptcy cases. She advises clients on the most cost-effective and expeditious strategies available to resolve issues before and after a debtor files for bankruptcy as well as the potential impact of bankruptcy law on day to day business transactions. Ifshin is a member of the Birmingham and Alabama State Bar Associations. She earned her J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law and her B.A. from The University of Alabama.
About Brodie T. James
James received his J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law where he was a member of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board, Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society and the recipient of a CALI Award of Excellence for Litigation Drafting. Most recently, James served as a Clerk to The Honorable Nicole Gordon Still, 10th Judicial Circuit, Jefferson County. James received his B.A. in Political Science from The University of Alabama. He is a member of the Birmingham and Alabama State Bar Associations.
About Jacob A. Kiser
Kiser has experience in Labor and Employment Law, including complex FLSA litigation and Title VII class actions. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th, 8th and 11th Circuits. He is a member of the American, Alabama State Bar Associations as well as the Birmingham Bar Association where he served on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. Kiser received his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law where was a member of the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association and his B.A. from The University of Mississippi.
