Ronald Levitt Co-Author for LexisNexis Tax Planning Book
Ronald A. Levitt, a Sirote & Permutt, PC shareholder, is the co-author of the two-volume treatise “Tax Planning For S Corporations” published by Lexis-Nexis. The 2nd edition was recently released.
Mr. Levitt collaborated with co-authors Stephen R. Looney and Richard B. Robinson. “Tax Planning For S Corporations” contains a comprehensive discussion of issues applicable to S Corporations from formation through sale, reorganization or liquidation. The treatise takes a very practical approach and contains numerous examples and practice tips that apply to daily issues faced by tax accountants, tax attorneys and other tax professionals.
Mr. Levitt handles federal and state controversy matters, estate planning and charitable deduction planning, including planning and defending conservation easements. He counsels clients in business planning, succession planning and entity formation, specifically the development of S Corporations, Limited Liability Companies and other flow-through entities. He also practices health care law. Best Lawyers in America selected him as Birmingham’s “2012 Best Lawyer of the Year” for Tax Law. Mr. Levitt, a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated attorney and a fellow in the American College of Tax Council speaks throughout the country and is a frequent author.
