Jack Neal & Mason Davis Inducted as Birmingham Bar Foundation Fellows

Sirote & Permutt attorneys George M. (Jack) Neal, Jr. and J. Mason Davis were recently inducted into the inaugural class of Fellows of the Birmingham Bar Foundation. The inaugural class is comprised of past presidents of the Birmingham Bar Foundation and the Birmingham Bar Association. General Edward M. Friend, Jr., a founding member of the law firm was also honored, posthumously.
Fellowship status honors legal professionals who represent a spirit of excellence in their field of practice and who have been uncompromising in their adherence to ethical standards.
Mr. Neal regularly serves in the capacity of mediator and arbitrator in civil cases of all kinds, excluding domestic relations. He is also certified as an appellate mediator and serves on a number of panels of neutrals. Mr. Neal also has a general civil and commercial litigation practice in both state and federal courts. Mr. Neal served as President of the Birmingham Bar Association in 2009 and is also a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation and American Bar Association.
Mr. Davis has a long, distinguished career representing clients in business, antitrust, securities and product liability litigation, as well as life, health and surety company defense. He also has extensive experience before Insurance Regulatory Departments and Commissions and has participated in numerous trials in both state and federal courts. Mr. Davis also served as President of the Birmingham Bar Association in 1984.
