Mason Davis Reads for Governor Bentley's Induction into Academy of Honor
Attorney J. Mason Davis, of Sirote & Permutt in Birmingham, was present at the state capital for the reading of the Citation inducting Governor Robert J. Bentley into the Academy of Honor.
The Alabama Academy of Honor was created by the State Legislature in 1965. Its purpose is to bestow honor and recognition upon living Alabamians for accomplishments and service benefiting or reflecting great credit on the state. Membership is granted to exemplary individuals based on peer review. There can only be 100 members at a time.
Davis, a member of the Academy since 1980, read the full-length script citing Gov. Bentley’s accolades and contributions to the state and the country. Davis sits on the Academy’s nominating committee and was selected by the Academy’s Executive Committee to read the citations.
At Sirote, Mason has a long, distinguished career representing clients in business, antitrust, securities and product liability litigation, as well as life, health and surety company defense. He also has extensive experience before Insurance Regulatory Departments and Commissions and has participated in numerous trials in both state and federal courts. His appellate practice includes matters before the Supreme Court of Alabama and the 5th and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeals.
