Three Sirote Attorneys Admitted to Florida Bar
The law firm of Sirote & Permutt, PC is pleased to announce that attorneys Mary Blanche Hankey, Melissa A.R. May and Susannah Walker have been admitted the Florida Bar.
At Sirote, Ms. Hankey’s practice covers all aspects of litigation, but her primary focus is representing the mortgage banking industry. She defends mortgagees and servicers in all types of consumer fraud, predatory, and statutory violation claims including claims premised on the TILA, FCRA, FDCPA and RESPA. She earned her JD degree from Cumberland School of Law and her BS degree from the University of Alabama.
As a member of the Estate Planning team at Sirote, Ms. May advises clients regarding tax-efficient transfer of interests in closely held businesses, real property and other assets. She prepares wills, trust agreements and other estate planning documents for individuals. She earned her JD degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law and her BS degree from Auburn University.
Ms. Walker's practice focuses on representing secured creditors, including national, regional and local mortgage lenders in addition to other secured creditors and servicers in consumer bankruptcy cases. She files motions for relief, proofs of claims, and objections to confirmation. She also attends hearing on matters in bankruptcy court and prepares orders resolving such matters. Ms. Walker advises clients regarding day to day compliance with bankruptcy law and when collection activity is permissible once a debtor has filed for bankruptcy. She earned her JD degree from Cumberland School of Law and her BA degree from Samford University.
