Sirote Attorneys Jerry Held, Stephen Collins and Don Wright Speak at Mortgage Banking Seminar

Sirote & Permutt attorneys Jerry Held, Stephen Collins, and Don Wright were featured panelists at the 2011 USFN Loan Management & Servicing Conference that was recently held in Orlando, Florida. The USFN is the leading national nonprofit association of select attorneys and trustee companies providing comprehensive default services to the mortgage banking industry. The USFN has approximately 100 members, comprised of law firms from every state in the country, and the USFN is the most recognized group of mortgage banking attorneys throughout the country.

Held, who served on the “Advanced Foreclosure Issues” panel, chairs the Mortgage Banking Practice Group at Sirote & Permutt. He represents national mortgage lenders in the areas of mortgage banking law, real estate litigation, and title insurance law. Held received his Juris Doctorate from Emory University and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama. He serves on the Commercial/Multi-Family, Audit, Finance, and Advisory committees for the USFN. Held is included in the categories of Mortgage Banking Foreclosure Law and Real Estate Law by Best Lawyers in America.

Collins was the lead facilitator of “The Impacts of the Dodd-Frank Act.” He is a member of the Mortgage Banking Practice Group at Sirote & Permutt. He represents national mortgage lenders, servicers, and investors in the areas of mortgage banking law, real estate litigation, consumer finance, bankruptcy law, and title insurance law. Collins received his Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University. He serves on the Board of Directors for the USFN and is a member of the Legal Issues Committee of the Mortgage Bankers of America.

Wright, who manages the law firm’s Consumer Bankruptcy Department, served on the “Servicing Loans in Bankruptcy: Problems and Solutions” panel. Wright represents national mortgage lenders, servicers, and investors in the areas of mortgage banking law, real estate litigation, consumer finance, bankruptcy law, and title insurance law. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee and his Bachelor of Science from Tennessee Technological University. Wright is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and was recently included in Best Lawyers in America for the category Bankruptcy & Creditor-Debtor Rights Law.
