Jack Neal Named Fellow of Alabama Law Foundation
Sirote & Permutt shareholder George M. “Jack” Neal, Jr. has been elected a Fellow to the Alabama Law Foundation. The Alabama Law Foundation was established in 1993 to honor lawyers who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to their profession and to their community and who have been members of the bar for at least ten years. Election to the Fellows is recognition of an attorney’s accomplishments by their colleagues and is limited to 1% of bar membership.
At Sirote, Mr. Neal regularly serves in the capacity of mediator and arbitrator in civil cases of all kinds excluding domestic relations. He is also certified as an appellate mediator and serves on a number of panels of neutrals. Mr. Neal also has a general civil litigation practice in both state and federal courts. Throughout the years he has represented many businesses and individuals including banks, lenders and financial institutions in the enforcement of their rights and also in their defense in the areas of general tort, lender liability, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, recovery of collateral and negotiations, forbearance and work outs.
Mr. Neal is immediate past president of the Birmingham Bar Association, on the board of trustees for the Birmingham Business Alliance, a bar commissioner for the 10th Judicial Circuit of the Alabama Bar Association, and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
He has been named to Best Lawyers in America in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, creditors rights and bankruptcy, and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Neal has also received an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a reflection of having achieved preeminent status in the areas of professional skill and integrity.
