Maury Shevin Reappointed as Member of Alabama Advisory Committee by U.S. Commission on Civil Rights
Sirote & Permutt shareholder Maurice L. Shevin was reappointed for a two-year period by the United States Commission on Civil Rights to serve as a member of the Alabama Advisory Committee. Shevin’s appointment became effective on March 14, 2014.
The Commission is charged with conducting fact-finding activities pertaining to discrimination or denial of equal protection of the laws based on race, color, religion, sex, age, handicap, or in the administration of justice.
Shevin serves as counsel for trade associations, financial institutions and business clients, advising them with respect to business and industry concerns.
