Sirote Announces Five New Shareholders

Robin Beardsley practices in the areas of commercial litigation, mortgage banking litigation, bankruptcy and white collar criminal defense. She is admitted to practice law in Alabama and Mississippi. She serves as an Adjunct Professor of Basic Skills of Trial Advocacy at her Alma Mater, Cumberland School of Law. Robin is currently serving on the national Young Lawyers Steering Committee of the Defense Research Institute, as well as serving locally as a member of the Birmingham Junior League, the Junior Board of the Exceptional Foundation and the Girls Inc Committee of 25. She was recently elected by the Birmingham Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section as the President-Elect for the Young Lawyers Section. Robin earned her B.A. from the University of Alabama in 1999 and a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law in 2002.
Ginny Cochran Rutledge practices in the areas of Mortgage Banking, Creditor Services and Foreclosure Law. She specializes in handling real estate foreclosures for lenders and mortgage holders involving residential and commercial real estate. She is a seasoned speaker and author on the subject of Foreclosure Law and real estate title issues. Ginny is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association. She received her B.S. degree cum laude from Auburn University in 1998 and a J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law in 2001.
Jeff Underwood represents clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions. His practice involves coordinating sales of REO post-foreclosure properties throughout the State of Alabama. In 2008, Jeff was involved in drafting proposed Alabama legislation for the Manufactured Housing Titling Task Force. Jeff is an instructor with the Alabama Real Estate Commission, a member of the REOMAC Association and of the Birmingham and Alabama State Bar Associations. He earned his B.S. degree from Auburn University in 1989 and his J.D. degree from the Birmingham School of Law in 1995.
Jeffrey Miller, an attorney in Sirote’s Mobile office, counsels employers on a wide variety of labor and employment law issues, and he assists employers with the preparation and implementation of appropriate employment policies, handbooks, and agreements. He also represents employers in litigation and administrative proceedings, defending against all types of labor and employment claims, and he represents state entities in Fair Dismissal Act administrative proceedings and related litigation. Jeffrey is a frequent speaker on the subject of employment law, and he is a member of the Mobile, American and Alabama State Bar Associations. He earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Birmingham-Southern College in 1996 and graduated with his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law in 2001, where he sat as Chief Justice of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board.
Jay Maples practices in the areas of Corporate, Tax Law & Planning, Director and Officer Liability, Employee Benefits and Pensions and Profit Sharing. In addition to being a certified public accountant, Jay is a member of the Alabama, American and New York State Bar Associations. He earned a B.S. degree from Auburn University in 1992, his Masters in Accounting from The University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1998, his J.D. degree from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2001 and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law in 2002.
