Sirote Shareholder Pate named as 2009 Who's Who in Alabama Health Care

BIRMINGHAM, Ala – Lenora Pate, a shareholder in the law firm of Sirote & Permutt, has been named to the Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ) 2009 Who’s Who in Health Care. The BBJ publishes this exclusive issue every two years as a resource guide to keep readers informed of leaders in the health care industry in Birmingham.
At Sirote, Ms. Pate’s practice focuses on Business, Health Care, Government and Public Policy, Workers’ Compensation and Insurance. She chairs the firm’s Health Law Consulting Practice Group.
In addition to her extensive involvement with the health care industry in Alabama, Ms. Pate serves as Chairman of the American Cancer Society’s Board of Directors; Board of Directors for the Birmingham Jewish Federation; Board of Overseers at Samford University and as Co-Chair with the Alabama Citizens for Constitutional Reform. She served in Governor Jim Folsom’s Cabinet as the first woman Director of the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations and has held several positions appointed by Governor Bob Riley, including the Alabama Citizens’ Constitution Commission and the Governor’s Commission on Education Spending.
Lenora earned her J.D. degree summa cum laude from the Cumberland School of Law, her M.A. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her B.A. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
