Sirote & Permutt Attorney Jim Sturdivant to Speak to Alabama State Bar White Collar Crime Committee
Jim Sturdivant, shareholder at Sirote & Permutt, will speak to the Alabama State Bar White Collar Crime Committee on April 3, 2014, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on “Pre-Indictment Advocacy in White Collar Cases.” The event will take place at Maynard Cooper & Gale in Birmingham, Ala.
During the White Collar Crime Committee’s first Continuing Legal Education (CLE) lunch of the year, speakers will discuss matters that occur before an indictment or other formal charges are filed. Sturdivant and three other panelists will discuss key issues involving the pre-indictment stage, such as delivering effective arguments, negotiating a resolution and avoiding common pitfalls, among others.
