Sirote & Permutt Attorney Bruce "Andy" Andrews Quoted In Birmingham Business Journal
Sirote’s Bruce “Andy” Andrews was quoted in the March 14, 2014, issue of Birmingham Business Journal. Andrews offered his opinion on the week’s “Hot Topic” question: What impact is the Affordable Care Act having on companies so far in 2014?
Andrews’ comments in the article explain that companies are working toward a better understanding of how specific changes affect their business. “Many are seeking to understand how the employer mandate transition relief applies to them and how to avoid penalties associated with reimbursement arrangement rules…Small companies that offer health insurance are realizing substantial savings with minor changes to their health insurance plans.”
Andrews comments regularly about health care issues on the Sirote Health Care Blog at http://www.sirote.com/blog/health-care/.
Andrews practices with the firm’s Corporate & Tax and Health Care groups, advising clients about tax, business and health care regulatory issues. Andrews earned his J.D. degree from The University of North Carolina School of Law. He also earned a Master of Accounting degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School and his B.A. degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During law school, he served on the board of directors of the Samaritan Health Center in Durham, North Carolina. Prior to law school, Andrews worked as a CPA, practicing in the tax group of a national accounting firm.
