Chris Bottcher Presents Lawyering Across Generations at the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers Conference
Sirote attorney and shareholder Christopher A. Bottcher, will speak at the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers conference on Feb. 6 at the Magnolia Hotel in Houston, Texas. Bottcher will be co-presenting on the topic of “Lawyering Across Generations,” where he and two other attorneys will share insight on the millennial generation’s entry into the legal profession.
The panel will discuss ways law firms can recruit, train, and retain millennial lawyers. The panel will also examine issues that are unique to today’s newest generation of attorneys, which is the first generation of lawyers for which technology is a native language. Their immersion into technology presents a host of challenges to the traditional law firm model.
“I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to this discussion about the changes this demographic shift will cause in the legal community,” Bottcher said. “My co-presenters are two well-respected attorneys, and I expect this presentation to provoke thought and spark interest in ways law firms can best manage their practices and serve their clients by understanding and properly managing the millennial generation.”
At Sirote & Permutt, Bottcher represents clients in all areas of civil, business and commercial litigation, as well as business and consumer fraud claims. Bottcher frequently represents clients in matters involving trade secrets and the enforcement of restrictive covenants. He also has extensive background defending toxic tort claims and products liability claims involving asbestos, industrial equipment, automobiles, electronics and software, as well as pharmaceutical and medical devices.
