Sirote’s Marcus Maples Selected to International Association of Defense Counsel
Marcus M. Maples, shareholder at Sirote & Permutt P.C., was recently selected to the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), an organization of invitation-only, peer reviewed corporate and insurance defense attorneys as well as insurance executives.
Marcus joins Sirote attorney Robert Baugh as a member of this prestigious association, which takes a leadership role in many areas of legal reform, continuing education and professional development. The purpose of the IADC is to enhance the development of skills, professionalism, and camaraderie to serve and benefit the members, their clients, as well as the civil justice system, the legal profession and society in general.

Maples is shareholder and litigator at Sirote & Permutt, and he represents life, health, disability and long term care insurance companies in bad faith and ERISA related issues in addition to representing a variety of business in general commercial litigation. Maples has in-depth experience litigating shareholder derivative claims from both the perspective of the corporation and the shareholder and also serves as national counsel for domestic and international construction companies handling litigation matters in various jurisdictions throughout the country.
