Sirote & Permutt Attorneys Gratton and Sklar Selected as "Attorneys of Note" by B-Metro Magazine
Sirote & Permutt attorneys Gaile Pugh Gratton and Bradley J. Sklar were selected as “Attorneys of Note” by B-Metro Magazine. The two shareholders will be recognized at an awards reception on March 13, 2014.
The March 2014 issue of B-Metro Magazine recognizes some of the most honored members of the Birmingham legal community.
Gratton has considerable experience litigating employment claims and is a member of the firm's Labor & Employment Group. She advises clients on the development and implementation of workplace policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance. She conducts investigations of discrimination claims and employee misconduct, as well as performing labor audits. Gratton prepares employee and personnel manuals for private and public employers. Gratton received her J.D. from Harvard University. She is a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated attorney and a member of Leadership Birmingham. She was also recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Labor & Employment Litigation Law in 2012-13.
Sklar serves on the law firm’s Board of Directors and is a past co-chair of the Corporate & Tax Practice Group. Sklar’s practice focuses on representing real estate developers in structuring and tax planning issues at federal, state and local levels. He counsels clients in tax and incentive planning and entity formation. He was the principal draftsperson of Alabama’s Limited Liability Company Act and frequently advises clients on sophisticated transactional structuring ideas. Sklar, a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated attorney and a 2013 Birmingham Legal Leader, is also listed in Chambers USA for Corporate/Commercial Law. He is listed as a Birmingham Magazine “Top Attorney” and in the Best Lawyers in America. Additionally, he is a Fellow in the Alabama Law Foundation and a past president of the Federal Tax Clinic. Sklar also serves as Vice-Chair of the Mountain Brook Board of Education.
