Sirote Attorney Ronald Levitt Will Present "Operating an S Corporation Through a State Law Limited Liability Company" to the S Corporation Committee of the ABA Section of Taxation in Austin, Texas

Sirote tax attorney Ronald Levitt will speak at the ABA's Joint CLE Fall Meeting in Austin, TX, sponsored by the ABA Section of Taxation and the ABA Section of Real Property, Trust & Estate Law on September 14 through 16.
As the moderator of the panel at the conference, Ronald will present "Operating an S Corporation Through a State Law Limited Liability Company" to the ABA Section of Taxation's S Corporation Committee on Friday, September 16.
This panel will address the use of state law LLCs that elect S Corporation status, including a discussion of the advantages of S Corporation status and some of the non-tax advantages of operating as an LLC rather than as a corporation for state law purposes. The panel will also discuss relevant tax issues relating to the operation of an LLC as an S Corporation, including the specific issues one has to consider in using an LLC that elects S Corporation status.
