Sirote Attorney Andrew Monaghan Joins the Mortgage Services Department
Sirote & Permutt, P.C., is pleased to welcome Andrew Monaghan to the firm. Andrew is a member of the firm’s Mortgage Services Litigation Department. He represents national mortgage lenders, servicers, and property owners in various real estate matters, including title litigation, ejectment/eviction litigation, and general real-estate litigation.
Andrew has been practicing law for 22 years. He has extensive experience with appeals, bankruptcy, civil litigation, corporations and businesses, criminal defense, probate, and real estate.
Andrew worked in the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney and was Project Manager for the Southwest Alabama Integrated Criminal Justice System. Andrew also worked as an associate trial attorney for James W. May & Associates, P.C., and as a partner in the office of Harrell, Whetstone, and Monaghan, LLC, practicing in appeals, civil litigation, and criminal defense in both firms.
Andrew received his BS in psychology from Birmingham Southern College and earned his JD from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he served as the secretary and then president of the Environmental Law Society. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Southern District of Alabama and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Alabama.
Andrew is a member of the Board of Directors for the Southeast Chapter of the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and was president of the Magnolia Springs Kiwanis Club.
