Sirote Attorneys Franklin Corley, Thomas Humphries, and Jason Weber Elected as Shareholders
Sirote & Permutt, P.C., a full-service law firm with long-standing core competencies in business, litigation, real estate, tax, estate planning, and financial services, recently announced that Franklin Corley, Thomas Humphries, and Jason Weber have been elected as shareholders.
Since joining Sirote six years ago in the Huntsville office, Franklin Corley’s legal practice covers a broad range of general litigation matters throughout Alabama. He counsels employers across all industries on a broad range of employment issues and represents employers in all types of employment litigation. As a member of the firm’s Government Contracts Practice Group, Franklin helps government contractors and entities litigate and navigate a variety of complex issues. Franklin was recognized for his work by Mid-South Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" in Business and Employment Litigation in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
Thomas Humphries joined Sirote five years ago and is a litigator in the firm’s Birmingham office, where he primarily handles bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters. Thomas’ practice involves bankruptcy matters of all kinds, and often includes defending creditors from preference and fraudulent transfer claims, representing creditors in adversary proceedings filed by consumers, advising bankruptcy trustees, and advocating for creditors’ rights in chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases. Thomas also has extensive experience defending mortgage lenders and mortgage servicers as to lawsuits filed in Alabama state and federal courts.
Since joining Sirote four years ago in the Fort Lauderdale office, Jason Weber represents national and regional mortgage lenders, private individuals, and small investors in the areas of bankruptcy, mortgage banking law, and creditors' rights throughout the state of Florida. Jason has authored several articles discussing topics trending in the mortgage industry, which have been published in Insight: Mortgage Services, DS News, and the USFN Report. He has been a panelist at the IMN Single Family Real Estate Forum and an invited speaker at multiple MDSA seminars.
