Sirote Welcomes Daniel R. Hugunine to the Birmingham Office
Sirote & Permutt, P.C., is pleased to welcome attorney Daniel R. Hugunine to the firm. Dan will be joining the Corporate & Tax Practice Group in the firm’s Birmingham office.
For more than 11 years, Dan has counseled clients on federal and state banking laws and regulation, securities regulation, broker-dealer and investment adviser regulation, negotiation of vendor and procurement contracts, negotiation of leases and resolution of lease disputes, as well as managing swaps and derivatives-related matters for banks. In addition to these areas of practice, Dan will represent clients in merger and acquisition transactions and general corporate counseling.
Prior to law school, Dan worked as a certified public accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and with a real estate investment, development, and management firm. He has been a member of the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama (PARCA) Roundtable and is currently a member of the Financial Markets Association.
Dan graduated magna cum laude with a BSM in accounting and finance from Tulane University in 2000. In 2006, he earned his JD from Tulane University Law School, where he was a managing editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal and senior justice for the Moot Court Board. His articles have been published in Alabama Banker’s Magazine and Banking Traditions.
