Sirote Welcomes Four New Attorneys
Sirote & Permutt is pleased to welcome four new attorneys to the firm, Zach Anderson, Christian Feldman, Brent Kapper, and Megan Kelly. Each of them has worked at Sirote in recent years as a summer associate.
Zach Anderson is a member of our Business and Financial Services Practice Group in Huntsville. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he was a member of the Campbell Moot Court Board, the Journal of the Legal Profession, the Bench and Bar Society, and served as a senator in the Student Bar Association. He also graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Mississippi State University, where he served as president of the Pre-Law Society. Zach is a lifelong resident of Huntsville, and he especially enjoys the parts of his practice that assist local businesses in their formation and growth.
Christian Feldman serves clients in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Christian graduated Cum laude with a JD from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. While at Cumberland, he was on the Dean’s List every semester, and was a Scholar of Merits in six areas: Torts I, Evidence, Business Organizations, Constitutional Law II, Federal Income Tax, and Copyright Law. He also served as a research editor for the Cumberland Law Review. Christian graduated with a BA in history from the College of Charleston, where he was the captain of the college’s Club Cycling Team and a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Social Fraternity.
Brent Kapper joins Sirote & Permutt’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group. After five years as an active duty officer in the U.S. Army, Brent brings a unique experience to the practice of law. He served as a logistics officer at Fort Carson, Colorado, where he coordinated logistics operations for a 900-person organization. Brent also served at the Army’s Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center as a company executive officer and as an associate dean. He earned his BA, Summa cum laude, from Northern Illinois University, where he majored in political science and minored in military science. Brent received his JD from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he held a position as a Managing Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law. Brent also worked as a class action litigation research assistant and a legal writing teaching assistant while in law school.
Megan Kelly joins Sirote’s Litigation Practice Group. Megan graduated with her JD from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, where she was a Merit Scholar Recipient, an S. Pierce Award Recipient, and on the Dean’s List. She also earned her MBA, Magna cum laude, from Samford University’s Brock School of Business. Megan received her BS, Magna cum laude, in agricultural leadership and development from Texas A&M University with a minor in business administration. Between her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, Megan spent two years teaching in under-resourced public schools for Teach for America and in Birmingham and Butler County schools as a biology and physical science teacher. Megan has also served as a congressional intern for the United States House of Representatives.
