Sirote's Jim Williams to Serve as Adjunct Professor at Cumberland School of Law
Sirote & Permutt shareholder James S. Williams was selected to serve as an adjunct professor at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Williams will begin teaching the course “Basic Skills in Trial Advocacy” this fall.
The Birmingham-based private law school is one of the 2014 Top 10 Schools in Trial Advocacy, according to U.S. News & World Report. Williams’ course will teach effective skills and strategies to use in each phase of trial proceedings.
Williams is a graduate of Cumberland School of Law. At Sirote & Permutt, he handles all phases of commercial litigation, with a particular focus on life and disability insurance litigation, representation of banks and mortgage companies, construction litigation and all forms of commercial litigation. He handles all phases of litigation, from pre-suit through discovery, trial and appeals. Williams handles appeals in state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. He is also listed as an Alabama Super Lawyer for Business Litigation, and is a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated attorney.
