Sirote Attorneys Andy Andrews and Jay Maples to Discuss Affordable Care Act at ASCPA Webinar
The law firm of Sirote & Permutt, P.C. is pleased to present a webinar series about tax legal issues for the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA).
In collaboration with ASCPA, Sirote attorneys Andy Andrews and Jay Maples will present the topic, “The Affordable Care Act and Offering Health Insurance” on September 18, 2013. The webinar will describe the employer mandate, identify problems and issues of concern, demonstrate how a company may analyze their insurance situation, describe ACA employer issues on the horizon, and offer options that employers can use to minimize their costs.

Andrews practices with the Corporate & Tax Group and the Health Care Law Group at Sirote & Permutt. He advises clients in the areas of tax, general business and health care regulatory issues. Prior to practicing law, Andrews worked as a Certified Public Accountant in the tax group of a national accounting firm. He earned his JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law, his MA from Kenan-Flagler Business School and his BA from the University of North Carolina.
As a member of the Corporate & Tax group at Sirote & Permutt, Maples focuses his legal practice on the business and tax needs of his clients. Prior to practicing law, Maples was a certified public accountant. Maples has been listed as a Birmingham Magazine “Top Attorney” for Tax Law. He earned his LLM in Taxation from New York University, his JD from the University of Alabama School of Law and his BS from Auburn University.
